Designing with a traditional twist, interior designer Laure Antonetti Schutze, needed a local artist to build on the neutral bones of a family's new home to infuse the rooms with color, pattern, and personality. It was not difficult as the rhythm between ornamentations and flow between furniture brought the character into the home. My contribution involved rejuvenating furniture, sanding down years of wear, to add new paint to match it's home and contrasting it with contemporary watercolors. "Watercolors by artist Maya Griffin are a nod to contemporary design while the bamboo frames adhere to the home’s overall traditional feel."
