This self portrait etching was exhibited in SCAD's Spring Showcase of 2022. Every time I get a chance for fine art I enjoy my time thoroughly because I love experimentation. This was my first printmaking class and second time ever etching. I experimented with several colors and finally ended with my favorite option, blended black from the center to yellow ochre to create a beautiful sepia look. Line drawing reveals the details of the portrait and the values were added from how the ink was wiped from the plate before printing.
